The School

On 1 January 1912 the school opens with 18 children. On 25 August 1913 the police station opens, by which tme the population stood at 2725 Europeans and 859 Coloured people

Eugine J.F. Olivier is the first teacher.

There was 5 children in Sub A, 7 children in Sub B, 3 children in standard 2 and 4 in standard 4.

A building loan was awarded to the school in 1918, an amount of £ 800

A further £ 100 wasawared to an architect and he build a durable structure as it is still standing today
